Local bus operator Stagecoach made a special excursion to Eastbourne all-weather lifeboat station today in order to present a cheque for £300

The vintage 1952 bus, driven by specialist driver Garth Porrell, arrived at RNLI Eastbourne lifeboat station on Sovereign Harbour exactly on time. On board was Operations Manager Krystian Kaczala proudly carrying a donation of £300 which had been raised over the Christmas holidays by offering short tours around Eastbourne for just £1 per trip. All profits were donated to two charities. Coxswain Mark Sawyer accepted the cheque on behalf of Eastbourne Lifeboats.
