Veteran fundraiser Frank Wellbelove has been presented with a framed letter of appreciation from Paul Bossier, Chief Executive of the RNLI, in appreciation of his many years of loyal support for the institution.
Frank has been a member of the Eastbourne RNLI fundraising branch for many years and has been personally responsible for raising many thousands of pounds. To date this figure exceeds £10,250 and when current projects are completed Frank is confident it will swell to over £12,000. Frank has already received many accolades locally for his charitable works including a citizen of the month award from the Eastbourne Herald.
This latest award from the Chairman and Council of the RNLI “In recognition of his generous support and outstanding fundraising efforts on behalf of Eastbourne Lifeboats” was presented by Lifeboat Operations Manager Paul Metcalfe, Coxswain Mark Sawyer and Lifeboat Mechanic Dan Guy.
