Local sheet metal fabricators Airtrace have been busy raising funds for Eastbourne Lifeboats culminating in two of its directors jumping out of an aircraft at 10,000 feet.
Directors, Linda Warwick and Jason Pearson actually did the skydiving stunt over Headcorn, ably assisted by their partners Tony and Tracy with sponsorship of £1190 coming from work colleagues, friends and family. Jason says he is now hooked and is determined to get the required qualifications to be able to go solo. Meanwhile Tracy and Tony have yet to be convinced that jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft is a good idea! The cheque was presented to Lifeboat Operations Manager Carl Pocock after a recent crew training exercise accompanied by the Mayor of Eastbourne Councillor Pat Hearn.
