The fishmonger’s collection pot at Forest Row has netted a terrific £500 for Eastbourne lifeboats.
Chris Veasey &Sons of Forest Row have had a collection box for the benefit of RNLI Eastbourne on the counter of their establishment for some time and customers have continued to generously contribute their loose change.
On Sunday (12 April) Chris met with the volunteer lifeboat crew and presented a cheque for £500 to Coxswain Mark Sawyer and Lifeboat Operations Manager Paul Metcalf. Paul took the opportunity to thank Chris and his customers for their support saying their donation will go towards the running of the station which will help continue their life saving work off the coast of Eastbourne.
