Title Yellow Welly Relay

In May, the RNLI hold various fundraising events to raise money for crew equipment. This includes wellies, waterproof clothing and helmets etc. In the south east, there will be a relay carrying the Yellow Welly from lifeboat station to station by various unusual types of transport, with fundraising events on route.
11.00hrs – The Yellow Welly arrives at the Western Lawns from Newhaven. Photos will be taken of fundraising and Shop volunteers alongside the chauffer driven vintage Rolls Royce courtesy of Phil of the Vintage Motoring Company.
11.30hrs – The Rolls Royce leaves with two crew members and the Yellow Welly and drives along the seafront to Fishermen’s Green for more photos.
12.00 – 13.00hrs – The Inshore Lifeboat Station will be open for visitors to view the ILB D-744 the “Lawrence & Percy Hobbs” and the newly acquired Bobcat.
13.00hrs – A fish pie lunch will be served in the Fishermen’s Club, where we will be entertained by folk musicians Joy Lewis and Derek Hughes. A raffle will follow.
