Mark Sawyer our Coxswain and Dave Needham a deputy 2nd Coxswain/Helmsman here at Eastbourne RNLI were at The Lifeboat Station Saturday 14th October volunteering their time to run a training session to Sovereign Harbour Berth Holders on radio procedures and how to make a DSC distress call.
Whilst there they were fortunate to meet Ken Scott who was walking the coast of Britain to raise money for two charities one being The RNLI. Ken set off from his home in West Sussex in February 2017 and passed our boathouse on his final leg returning back to Shoreham October 16th.
Well done Ken on your great achievement.
