Hastings ALB was requested to launch earlier today after reports came through of a group of kayakers potentially in difficulty between Norman’s Bay and Hastings.
RNLI Eastbourne had already launched and was heading east so the ALB was was tasked to search westwards from the station.

In rough seas the two ALBs and rescue helicopter 163 searched the area after one kayaker was seen to be heading ashore, and a second was seen and followed in to ensure they were safe. More were met by HM Coastguard - Bexhill ashore at #bexhill

With those ashore confirming that all of the group were now safe, all assets were stood down to return to their respective stations.
