Description

The Pearly Kings and Queens have their origins from the costermonger families of London in the 18th century.  They stood together against outsider in difficult times in the past.  They are famous for their dress and nowadays they raise money for charity in their pearly costumes.

This is a Members’ Meeting, but all are welcome.  Tea and coffee are available from 10.00hrs.

Anne Shelton was a popular English vocalist and is remembered for providing inspirational songs for the soldiers in the second World war, both on radio and in person.  Her niece, Kelly Richards has written her biography and will be speaking.
