Local artist Andy Dunbar presented the volunteer crew with a watercolour of Eastbourne lifeboats when they returned from their routine training exercise last Sunday

Andy created the work depicting Eastbourne’s new Tamar class all-weather lifeboat and the D-class inshore lifeboat to mark the arrival in Eastbourne of Diamond Jubilee last summer. The painting will take pride of place in the lifeboat station and if a suitable sponsor can be found reproduced on various souvenirs to be sold on behalf of Eastbourne lifeboats. More of Andy’s work can be viewed at the Francis Perry gallery in Eastbourne.
